Yesterday is Shrove Tuesday ,which is celebrated the day before Ash Wednesday and is therefore the final day before the commencement of Lent, a Christian festival leading up to Easter Day.
Shrove Tuesday is also known as Pancake Day (or Pancake Tuesday to some people) because it is the one day of the year when almost everyone eats a pancake.
I had the pancake in my homestay,that's a large, special thin pancake made by LIZ,the child told me to spread some jam on it,then rolled it.That's really a delicious pancake.
The pancake is also cooked in china.But it's usually for breakfast,and made it with some other ingrendients,most of the recipe have the shallot in the pancake,which tastes fantastic!The most famous one called:"Cong You Bing"^ ^
